Worth It
After 6 months of trekking across my ancestral homelands of Scotland, Ireland and England, and as my Grand Adventure comes to a close, I have one simple reflection:
Worth it.
Every effort.
Every challenge, sacrifice.
Every step taken, decision made.
Every experience - magnificent to heartbreaking, brimming with sunshine and darkness
… was worth it.
It’s all worth it - to dream, and dream big. To live fully, being true to who you are. To bring more light and kindness into a darkening world in the way our gifts enable us.
There are always challenges, ‘what ifs,’ question marks, and ‘oh I couldn’ts.’ Yet to step out in faith, after dreaming and planning wisely… what richness there is to be found.
Maybe not all dreams are realized. Maybe not all dreams should be realized. That’s okay, and really, refinement, adjustment and disappointment are to be expected as constants.
Still, acting on my dreams - long held, well planned, and laced with true and wholesome intentions - gifted the ultimate treasures. Gratitude consumes me, and I am graced with ever more power, wildness, confidence, knowledge, resilience, wellness, connection, community, perspective and joy.
I know I’m worth it.
We’re all worth it.
Ultimately, our world is worth it.
And we keep on dreaming, planning wisely and kindly.
And we keep on acting.
